Purpose of the report
To agree that the Council implement an acquisitions strategy to facilitate development as part of the regeneration of South Shields Town Centre. To grant delegated authority to the Corporate Director Economic Regeneration to acquire land and properties over a value of £500,000 that are deemed necessary to progress the regeneration scheme.

- The report contains information about the business and financial affairs of the Council and their selected delivery partner. The commercial sensitivity of the information is such that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
