Proposed consultation and methods to be used
Current arrangements are due to expire on 31 March 2015. It is proposed to award a Framework Agreement on behalf of NEPO and the seven participating authorities for 36 Months with an option to extend for a further 12 months for Independent Fostering Services. 25 Providers will be appointed to the Framework Agreement commencing on 1 April 2015. This follows an extensive competitive collaborative procurement exercise.
Proposals were evaluated by a collaborative panel which consisted of 1 commissioning officer from each of the seven local authorities (Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland). Facilitation took place by a Senior Procurement professional and a supporting officer within Newcastle Council.
