About this publication

The purpose of this document is to provide an assessment of the extent and distribution of planning and environmental considerations that could affect the potential suitability of areas in South Tyneside for onshore wind energy development and to inform the suitability of proposed sites for wind energy development.

This study is an update of the Wind Development Study (2022).

This new report reflects links with the International Advanced Manufacturing Park wind energy evidence and the mapping has been updated to reflect refinements around the IAMP.
