Overview

South Tyneside Council and Sunderland City Council are preparing a new Area Action Plan (AAP) to replace the current International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) AAP.

We need to update the AAP:

  • to make sure it is in line with the recently announced North East Investment Zone
  • to improve the flexibility of the document to make the most of any new inward investment opportunities

This first draft of the AAP (known as regulation 18) includes a number of proposed policies to address key issues and options which have been identified.

South Tyneside Council and Sunderland City Council are holding an eight-week consultation to get your thoughts on the proposals.

The consultation will start on 29 July 2024 and close on 23 September 2024.

For more information on the current AAP, see International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) Area Action Plan.
