International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) Area Action Plan consultation
Contents
Overview
South Tyneside Council and Sunderland City Council are preparing a new Area Action Plan (AAP) to replace the current International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) AAP.
We need to update the AAP:
- to make sure it is in line with the recently announced North East Investment Zone
- to improve the flexibility of the document to make the most of any new inward investment opportunities
This first draft of the AAP (known as regulation 18) includes a number of proposed policies to address key issues and options which have been identified.
South Tyneside Council and Sunderland City Council held an eight-week consultation on the proposals.
The consultation ran from 29 July 2024 to 23 September 2024.
The councils are reviewing the comments submitted from the consultation and will provide an update in due course.
For more information on the current AAP, see International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) Area Action Plan.
