LGA Corporate Peer Challenge - Progress Review - October 2022

In January 2022 the Local Government Association (LGA) conducted a Corporate Peer Challenge, delivered by experienced councillor and officer peers (see the January 2022 Corporate Peer Challenge Report).

A progress review at South Tyneside Council took place on 19 and 20 October 2022.

This is an integral part of the Corporate Peer Challenge process. 

The progress review focussed on each of the recommendations from the Corporate Peer Challenge, which were determined by the council.

They are:  

  • Vision
  • Organisational development
  • Resources
  • Governance
  • Capacity

This report provides a summary of the peer team's findings.
