About this publication

South Tyneside Council is the Licensing Authority for all premises in South Tyneside.  

This policy sets out our approach to our responsibilities under the Licensing Act 2003.  

The policy provides guidance to applicants, objectors and other interested parties on the approach that we will take on licensing matters. It also acts as a guide for Council staff and Councillors in reaching decisions.
