Overview

Your Voice Counts helps people with learning difficulties find out about different services and organisations that can support them.

Support available

  • Allocate a dedicated worker who will remain in contact with a client by phone over the coming weeks and months for a regular chat and to check that they are coping.
  • Help the person make a plan for how to cope in the coming weeks. For example make a plan for how to get food, pay bill and get access to the medication that they need.
  • Problem solve when things go wrong so that people have the things they need. For example making sure food is delivered, support them to access medical advice/support etc.
  • Help people to be connected. They will show people how to use technology to remain in contact with friends and we will be running a regular programme of online activities that will support people with their mental and physical wellbeing.
