About this publication

All Skills South Tyneside staff are expected to follow this environmental policy.

The key points to the policy are to:

  • Minimise waste by evaluating all operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
  • Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst participants and partners.
  • Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the organisation. 
  • Comply with all relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Encourage participants to regularly review the environmental impact of activities, endeavour to reduce our overall environmental impact and prevent waste. 
  • Sustain a programme of continual improvement in environmental performance incorporating suitable measurement and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Improve resource efficiency (including our use of water, energy and raw materials)
