Overview
All courses are offered free of charge but there will be a charge if you:
- do not attend a course you have booked a place on
- do not complete an E-Learning course
This is to maximise the availability and cost-effectiveness of our training programme.
If you can no longer attend the event, you must send an apology email to Multi-AgencySafeguardingTraining@southtyneside.gov.uk and copy in your manager.
If you are not able to email the us, your manager must let us know on your behalf.
You, or you manager, must let us know if you can't attend at least 5 working days before the course.
If you do not let us know at least 2 days before, you will still be charged.
We do not recommend that managers or head teachers sign a large group of employees up for any training. Employees should be responsible for their own training.
If you cannot attend on the day of the course
If you cannot attend on the day of the course, your manager can offer a replacement to go in your place and there will be no charge.
You must let us know by emailing Multi-AgencySafeguardingTraining@southtyneside.gov.uk before the course begins.
Please note, you or your manager must send an email to Multi-AgencySafeguardingTraining@southtyneside.gov.uk, a phone call will not be accepted.
If you call in sick on the day of the course
If you call in sick on the day of the course, and a replacement cannot attend, your manager must let us know by phoning 0191 424 6512 before 10am on the day of the course.
They must follow this up in writing with an email to Multi-AgencySafeguardingTraining@southtyneside.gov.uk.
If you have a period of long-term absence
If you have a period of long-term absence, your manager should let us know with an email to STSCAP@southtyneside.gov.uk in order to avoid charges.
A telephone call will not be accepted.
