The opportunity to hear about the Clinical Commissioning Group's plans for end of life care in South Tyneside is on offer at a community meeting next week.

Residents who live in Hebburn are encouraged to come along to the next meeting of their Community Area Forum (CAF) to hear about these plans.

Attendees will receive an update on the work carried out with partners across health, social care, voluntary sectors and residents of South Tyneside to produce a model for palliative and end of life care in the Borough.

Chair of the CAF, Councillor Wilf Flynn, said: "It is important that we provide an end of life and palliative care service that best meets the needs of our residents.

"I look forward to hearing about the recommended model and discussing how best to implement this."

The meeting will be held on Thursday 30 January at 2.00pm at Hartleyburn Community Centre, Crawley Square. Members of the press and public are welcome to attend.
