About this publication
Family and friends carers (such as grandparents, aunts, uncles etc.) play a unique role in helping children and young people who are unable to live with their parents.
The Council is committed to supporting parents and carers to allow children to be brought up within their own family network where it is safe to do so.
This document outlines the processes and technicalities of these situations.
