Portable electric fan heaters fault

South Tyneside Homes and South Tyneside Council have been made aware of a technical fault in a small number of portable electric fan heaters (Wolseley Center brand FH-06A 2kW-product code 105161) that may cause safety issues.

The heaters have been identified with a potential to overheat and fuse at the plug which could be a fire hazard.

The Wolseley Group have launched a product recall and have advertised the details of this in the national press and through various media, however, if you are a tenant and have been provided with one of these heaters that have not been collected please do not use it, and contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 6633 to arrange collection.
