COVID-19 business grants: Summary of grants paid

South Tyneside Council has administered over £50 million of grants to businesses within the funding allocations and guidelines provided by Government.

Whilst we have not been able to provide help to every business financially, we have supported those that are in scope for Government funding, whilst listening to businesses about how any discretionary grants might help those firms who were out of scope of the Government's criteria for the grant funding.

We have continued to monitor and direct resources where they are needed, within the parameters that have been set by Government.
