Battery recycling

Overview

It's important that you dispose of batteries properly.

Do not put them in your bin, as this can cause a fire.

There are lots of places in South Tyneside where you can recycle batteries.

Never put batteries in any of your bins

Batteries, items containing batteries, or any electrical items can cause fires if damaged during waste and recycling processing.
