South Tyneside Council (A183 Coast Road, South Shields - 24 hour clearway) Order 2025
South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under Section 1 of and Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 24 hour rural clearway on :-
- A183 Coast Road both sides from a point 100 metres north west of its junction with Redwell Lane in a south easterly direction for a distance of 1.35km
- Redwell Lane, both sides from its junction with A183 Coast Road for a distance of 45 metres in a south westerly direction
Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below.
