This event is part of our library Spring WRITE Festival, a week-long festival of writing, storytelling, mystery and more.

Calligraphy comes from the Greek words for beauty and writing and covers a wide range of disciplines. In this introductory session, calligrapher Angela Reed will guide you through the tools and techniques required to form a basic alphabet. All materials will be provided, including a starter kit to take home. The workshop is suitable for beginners.

All materials are provided and are yours to keep, so you can continue your calligraphy journey at home.

Sessions take place:

  • Tuesday 29 April 2-4pm at Hebburn Central Library - BOOK TICKETS
  • Friday 2 May 2-4pm at Cleadon Park Library - BOOK TICKETS

£5 per person. Suitable for ages 16+
