Decision notice of tree removal - Palmer Crescent

Location of tree(s) to be removed

The decision has been made to remove one maple tree in the public highway to the front of 30 Palmer Crescent.

Reason for removal

The tree is being removed because of damage to the public highway.

Further to the Public Consultation which closed on 29 November 2024, the Council has received 0 responses to the Public Notice.

Following the inspection of the tree by the Tree Officer and the Highways Officer, the difficult decision has been made to remove the tree.

The Council considers there are no viable long-term engineering or tree management solutions available as an alternative to removing the tree.

Removal of the tree(s)

The tree will be removed within 2 years from 29 November 2024, but no sooner than 28 days from this date.

In line with the Council's Tree and Woodland Policy, a replacement tree will be planted in an appropriate location.
