Content:

At the end of Year 6 some children may not achieve WTS and will need to be assessed using the Pre-Key Stage Standards - but what is the difference?

In this session we will look in detail at what each strand means at each of these standards, what a child needs to be able to do independently and the types of evidence which would support your judgement.

This session will also give you the opportunity to:

  • Meet with other Year 6 Teachers
  • Share good practice and ideas
  • Moderate books with support from members of the KS2 Moderation Team

Expected Impact on Schools:

  • To understand the difference between the WTS and Pre-Key Stage writing standards in Year 6

N.B.  Please can you bring along books for children who you think are on track to achieve either the PKS or WTS standard

Target Group:

  • Year 6 Teachers

Course Deliverer:  Anna Hawkins

Cost:  Free to SIP Buy-Back participants - £50 to others
