What they offer
The project is to work with local services to identify South Tyneside residents who can benefit from Emmaus North East's particular care, support and employment programme.
Working with their Woodwork Trainers, trainees will upcycle and also create bespoke wooden items from recycled wood. Trainees will receive expenses and engage with:
- A personalises Support Employment Plan
- 1-2-1 and group support with access to a Counsellor
- Documented work experience
- Job specific training (where possible nationally accredited)
- Job mentoring and soft skills training (including work etiquette, customer relations, confidence and self-esteem building)
- Life skills training (e.g. financial management)
