What they offer
They will be demolishing the existing building which has the changing room, store and a small social space used by a number of groups including:
- South Shields Harriers running club
- South Shields Velo cycling club
- Local football club
It's also used for major events such as Great North Run.
They will replace this with a new modular facility that will include a new kitchen and social space for event use, club meetings and general gatherings. Two gender neutral changing rooms with 4 showers per space suitable for football, running and cycling activities and will include male and female toilets along with an accessible toilet facility.
