What they offer
The Business and Community Response Team is made up of two team leaders and six officers. They work 363 days a year, 4 days working, 4 days off.
The purpose of the team is to:
- provide an out of hours service between 3pm and10:30pm (covering the whole of the Borough)
- respond to reports of all anti-social behaviour
- environmental issues - fly tipping, graffiti, littering (including that off disused needles)
- support and assist vulnerable people - substance misuse, mental wellbeing, domestic abuse, homelessness
- support businesses around ASB and environmental issues - provide advice, guidance, solutions for safety, better ways of working
- attend voluntary, private and public facing events :
- Summer events
- D-Day commemoration
- Ocean Road Melia
- Christmas Light switch on
- working with internal and external partners:
- Northumbria Police

- Youth Justice
- Youth Services
- Tyne and Wear Fire Service
