The proposal includes:

  • introduction of no waiting at any time restrictions on Owen Drive and Hindmarch Drive
  • introduction of a school entrance marking on Owen Drive
  • amendment to school entrance marking on Hindmarch Drive

South Tyneside Council (West Boldon Primary School, West Boldon) Order 2024

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to:

introduce:

  • no waiting at any time on
    • Hindmarch Drive - both sides from a point 15 metres west of its junction with Owen Drive to a point 15 metres east of its junction with Owen Drive 
    • Owen Drive - both sides from a point 10 metres south of its junction with Hindmarch Drive to a point 10 metres north of its junction with Hindmarch Drive 
  • School Entrance Marking Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm on
    • Owen Drive - west side from a point 15 metres north of its junction with Hindmarch Drive in a northerly direction for a distance of 43.56 metres

amend:

  • School Entrance Marking on Hindmarsh Drive north side to Hindmarch Drive north side
    • from a point 36 metres west of its junction with Owen Drive for a distance of 25.56 metres in a westerly direction

Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below.
