The proposal includes:

  • introduction of no waiting and no loading/unloading restrictions on the junction of Church Lane with Front Street, Whitburn

South Tyneside Council (Church Lane, Whitburn) Order 2024

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time on:-

  • Church Lane, Whitburn east side and west side
    • from its junction with Front Street southwards for 16 metres
  • Front Street, Whitburn south side
    • from its junction with Church Lane eastwards and westwards for 10 metres

Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below.

If you wish to raise an objection, express support or make any other observations about these proposals, you must make them in writing to the Council's Legal Services Department at the address below or by using the same email address above by the 10 September 2024. Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
