South Tyneside Council (Verge Parking South Tyneside) Order 2024
On 7 August 2024 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The Order which comes into operation on 19 August 2024 will Revoke
No waiting at any time with exemption for verge parking on:
- Aln Street, Hebburn east side from its junction with Hedgeley Rd for 20m in a south easterly direction
- East Boldon Road / South End, Cleadon east side from a point 43.6m north of its junction with Whitburn Road for 28m in a northerly direction
- Fellgate Ave, Jarrow south side from a point 41m south west of its junction with Hedworth Lane in a south westerly direction for 52m
- Hylton Ave, South Shields north west side from a point 26m south west of its junction with Witton Ave in south westwards direction for 54m
- Mowbray Rd, South Shields north side:
- (i) from a point 8m east of its junction with Hunter St to a point 8m west of its junction with St Michael's Ave North
- (ii) from a point 8m east of its junction with St Michael's Ave North to a point 8m west of its junction with Iolanthe Terrace

Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall, Westoe Road, South Shields, NE33 2RL.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 7 August 2024 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
