South Tyneside Council (Osborne Avenue Area, South Shields 20mph) Order 2024
On 10 July 2024 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The Order, which comes into operation on 05 August 2024 will reduce the speed limit to 20mph for their entire length, on:

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 10 July 2024 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
