24RFAW07 - Refresher First Aid at Work - (2 day course)

This course is delivered over two days (minimum 12 hours) and covers two units which includes practical and written assessments form the taught content. It is Ofqual regulated and overseen by First Aid Awards (FAA) and Nuco Training.
The course is physical in nature and interactive. All candidates must be ready to join in and able to stand, kneel, lean over and perform tasks, which include casualty handling and CPR as part of an assessment process.
The assessment criteria is set out by the UK Resuscitation Council. If any person has difficulty in doing these, then reasonable adjustments can be made during the training element, but some of the skills must be seen preformed in a kneeling or sitting position on the floor during assessment. Unfortunately, no adjustments can be made for practical assessment.
Due to the nature of the course please wear appropriate clothing.
The qualification is available to learners aged 14 and over.
On day one of the course, please bring with you your 'in-date' FAW certificate, together with your workplace ID.
Once successfully completed learners (age 16 and over) can assume the responsibility of being a first aider in the workplace. The qualification is valid for three years. To requalify learners will need to complete the full 12-hour refresher course again before expiry of current qualification.
