Overview
Carers Week 2024 is taking place between Monday 10 and Sunday 16 June.
This year's theme is 'putting carers on the map'.
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
South Tyneside Council, along with our partners across South Tyneside, will be recognising the important contribution made by South Tyneside's estimated 15,000 carers.
What's happening in South Tyneside during Carers Week
There will be a whole host of free events and activities taking place across South Tyneside for carers.
