How we inspect memorials

Safety inspection - 2 December

Memorial safety inspections will start in Jarrow Cemetery on 2 December 2024.

The cemetery will be fully available throughout the inspections.

The memorials are inspected by a qualified Council employee and a specialist contractor.

They will look closely at the memorial and gently push it to check its stability.
