South Tyneside Council (Surrent Street Area, Jarrow 20mph) Order 2024
South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of and Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the Order will be to reduce the speed limit to 20mph on:
- Bede Burn Road, Jarrow from its junction with Kent Street for a distance of 45 metres in a south westerly direction;
- Kent Street, Jarrow from its junction with Park Road for a distance of 90 metres in a north easterly direction then for a distance of 40 metres in a south easterly direction;
- Surrey Street, Jarrow;
- Sussex Street, Jarrow.
Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below.
