Content:

Confidence in grammar & punctuation subject knowledge is essential when supporting children across primary.  This session is designed for support staff, to ensure an excellent understanding of grammar in the KS1 Primary National Curriculum.

The session will cover:

• Understanding the difference between Standard and Non-Standard English
• The importance of using Standard English when speaking and writing
• Common mistakes in the use of Standard English

Expected Impact on School/Setting:

• Practitioners will have a greater understanding of the use of Standard English when working with children across Primary
