This session looks at how you can teach a sequenced overview of how music changed and developed from Medieval times to present day. 

The features of the six main periods will be identified, along with the key composers and works associated with each period.

There will also be a focus on how teachers can show that the role of the musician in society changed over time.

The session will include examples from Model Music Curriculum KS2.
