COAST South Tyneside is a project that has been launched to protect coastal habitats and wildlife.
COAST South Tyneside allows residents and visitors to enjoy the Borough's coastline while also helping to protect and raise awareness of coastal wildlife through events and communities working together to support nature.
The COAST project will:
- monitor and study coastal wildlife and habitats
- educate and engage residents to support conservation
- take action where species or habitats need more protection
