Educational visits

Simonside Outdoor Adventure leads on the delivery of educational visits co-ordinator training.

The centre advises local schools, academies and organisations on educational and off site visits using EVOLVE. 

Simonside Outdoor Adventure also has active membership of the national Outdoor Education Advisers Panel (OEAP).

The centre will provide the service with due diligence and in a professional manner in line with national guidance.

There is an annual fee for this service.

Other services that are available

The following bespoke services are also available at the following costs:

• OEAP accredited Educational Visit Co-ordinator training
  This includes a designated person per school. It is valid for 3 years. 1 day training includes materials, lunch and refreshments.
• OEAP accredited Educational Visit Co-ordinator refresher training
  This includes a designated person per school. It is valid for 3 years. Half day training includes materials and refreshments.
• OEAP accredited Visit Leader training
  The training lasts for 2 1/2 hours. Cohorts of 15 staff and is valid for 3 years.
• OEAP accredited Outdoor Learning Card training (Key stage 1, 2 amd 3)
  1 day of training that covers 4 themes which can then easily be delivered to your pupils; journeying, team building, bouldering and orienteering. Additional instructors can be provided to cater for larger groups e.g. whole school approach.
• EVOLVE+
