  • no entry restriction on Borough Road into Rear Borough Road/Prince Edward Road
  • one way street along Rear Borough Road/Prince Edward Road

South Tyneside Council (Rear Borough Road/Prince Edward Road, South Shields) Order 2024

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under Section 1 of and Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce:

  • one way street on Rear Borough Road/Prince Edward Road in a westwards direction
  • no entry restriction on Borough Road into Rear Borough Road/Prince Edward Road, South Shields

Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below.

If you wish to raise an objection, express support or make any other observations about these proposals, you must make them in writing to the Council's Legal Services Department at the address below or by using the same email address above by the 6 February 2024.
