Content:

Confidence in grammar & punctuation subject knowledge is essential when supporting children across primary. This session is designed for support staff, to ensure an excellent understanding of grammar in the KS2 Primary National Curriculum.

This session will cover:

• A deep understanding of phrases, clauses and sentence construction
• Confidence in the use of terminology when explaining grammar and punctuation to children, analysing grammatical features within texts and during Shared Writing
• Ideas for resources to support subject knowledge and classroom teaching

Expected Impact on School/Setting:

• Practitioners will have a greater understanding of the requirements for Grammar & Punctuation in KS2
