23TQ - Securing the Expected Standard in Year 6 Writing

This training will ensure that Year 6 teachers have a clear understanding of the 'expected' standard in writing.

The course will enable participants to:

• Secure their understanding of assessment in writing
• Become familiar with the statutory exemplification materials for the 'expected' standard
• Cross-school moderate children's writing with other schools in the borough
• Identify gaps and plan for the Spring Term
• Discuss any 'barriers' to writing

Expected Impact on School/Setting:

• A clear understanding of Year 6 Writing Assessment requirements for the Expected Standard

Target Group:

• Year 6 Teachers

N.B.  Please bring along children's books - those children who you expect to achieve the expected standard in writing by the end of Year 6
