The proposal includes:

  • the introduction of no waiting at any time restrictions on:
    • West Parade
    • St John's Avenue
    • Derby Crescent 
    • A185 Victoria Road West

Legal notice

South Tyneside Council  (West Parade / St John's Avenue, Hebburn) Order 2023

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:-

West Parade

  • north side
    • from its junction with Victoria Road West in an easterly direction for 50 metres
    • from a point 10 metres west of its junction with Derby Crescent to a point 5 metres east its junction with Derby Crescent
    • from its junction with St John's Avenue in westerly direction for 17 metres
  • south side
    • from its junction with Victoria Road West in an easterly direction for 23 metres
    • from its junction with St John's Avenue in a westerly direction for 35 metres

St John's Avenue

  • south-west side
    • from its junction with Victoria Road West in a south easterly direction for 15 metres 
  • west side
    • from a point 72 metres north of its junction with West Parade in a  northerly then north westerly direction for 50 metres
    • from a point 15 metres north of its junction with West Parade in a southerly direction to a point 15 metres south of its junction with West Parade
  • east side
    • from a point 60 metres north of its junction with West Parade in a northerly then north easterly direction for 80 metres
    • from a point 20 metres north of its junction with West Parade in a southerly direction for 60 metres

A185 Victoria Road West

  • south-east side
    • from a point 10 metres south of its junction with West Parade to a point 10 metres north of its junction with West Parade
    • from a point 5 metres south of its junction with St John's Avenue to a point 8 metres north of its junction with St John's Avenue

Derby Crescent

  • both sides
    • from its junction with West Parade in a northerly direction for 15 metres

Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below.
