• Strategies to support children new to English or at the early stages of learning English
• Signposting to resources to support classroom teaching and learning
• Strategies to help "welcome" children new to the school / area

Expected Impact on School/Setting:

Practitioners will:

• increase their understanding of how children build up their confidence in learning English
• increase their understanding of the difficulties EAL children face in schools
• have strategies to support EAL children in EY settings

• Teaching or non-teaching staff working with EAL early years children
