- To assist participants to understand their roles and responsibilities in applying the principles in practice of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
Course learning outcomes
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of staff
- Understand the background to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Legislation
- Understand the role of the Managing Authority and the Supervisory Body
- Understand the roles involved including IMCA and Paid Representatives
- Understand the Acid Test for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
- Understand the link between Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and safeguarding adults
