Overview

Admiral Nurses are dementia specialists who help people living with dementia to stay independent for longer.

They will support and help you regain some control and confidence to manage life with dementia.


Support available

There are three dementia specialist nurses in South Tyneside who will offer practical advice.

The Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline (Dementia UK) is also available and offers free and confidential information, advice and support.


Who can access the service

Families in South Tyneside affected by dementia can speak with their GP who can refer them to the Admiral Nurse service.

When you can access the service

  • Monday to Friday: 9am to 9pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 5pm
