Overview
This course is takes place over 3 days, each day from 9am to 5.30pm.
You must attend all 3 days.
It covers two units, which include practical and theory assessments from the taught content.
These are broken down into separate modules.
The certificate, approved by (FAA) First Aid Awards, a recognised UK provider, is valid for 3 years from the final course date.
It fulfils all HSE requirements for providing first aid in the work place.

- Responsibilities of a first aider (theory assessment)
- Action in an emergency (theory assessment)
- Primary survey (practical assessment)
- Secondary assessment (practical assessment)
- The respiratory system (theory assessment)
- AED and resusictation (practical assessment)
- Disorders of respiration (theory assessment)
- Disorders of circulation (theory assessment)
- Wounds and bleeding (practical assessment)
- Seizures (practical assessment)
- Minor burns and scalds (practical assessment)
- Foreign objects (theory assessment)
Unit 2
- Recaps on primary survey and secondary assessment (theory assessment)
- Bones, joints and muscle injuries (practical assessment)
- Head and spinal injuries (practical assessment)
- Chest and abdominal injuries (practical assessment)
- Specialised burn injuries (practical assessment)
- Eye injuries (practical assessment)
- Poisoning (practical assessment)
- Anaphylaxis (practical assessment)
- Major illnessess (practical assessment)
Cost
The course costs £110 per person.
