South Tyneside Mayoress at Home

The people of South Tyneside are being invited to meet the Mayoress on Friday (9 September).

The Mayoress, Mrs Jean Copp is hosting the traditional Mayoress at Home event at 2pm, in the grand Reception Room of South Shields Town Hall.

Light refreshments will be served. There will also be a unique opportunity to take a tour of the Civic Wing of the town hall.

The Mayoress said: "I am so looking forward to hosting the Mayoress at Home, especially as last year's event was stood down due to the covid pandemic.

"It is such a lovely event, steeped in tradition, and a wonderful opportunity for people to dress up, wear a hat or fascinator if they like, come and see the beautiful town hall and enjoy a chat over cakes and tea."
