Changes to how local health services are organised

A five-year healthcare transformation programme is currently taking place across South Tyneside and Sunderland.

The 'Path to Excellence' programme aims to:

• secure the future of local NHS services
• identify new and innovative ways of delivering care

These changes will build on current strengths and successes, whilst helping to plan and prepare for future pressures the NHS are expecting.
