Overview

Unforgettable Experiences provide live, creative, and interactive artistic sessions to support older people with mental health concerns, dementia, neurological conditions, and their carers.

The sessions aim to improve emotional wellbeing, stimulate cognitive, reduce loneliness and isolation, increase digital skills, and improve overall quality of life.

They do this by providing personalised care and technical support to you or someone you care for. A qualified artist will support to help you / the person you care for get access artistic sessions of their choice online, twice per week.

  • creative writing
  • dance
  • drama

Volunteer Digital Activity Buddies are available to support older people to overcome any complex technical issues ahead of their first session.

The buddies will also support them to participate in each session until they feel confident to do this alone.

The service is virtual, meaning it can work anywhere and is available across the North East.

Older people with mental health concerns, dementia, neurological conditions, and their carers.

Referrals for this service are accepted by:

Unforgettable Experiences welcome the opportunity to connect with professionals who can help them to raise awareness of the service. Referrals are encouraged to make sure as many older people as possible across the North East are supported.
