Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) and Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) North East Support Groups

We offer a support and information service for people diagnosed with PMR and /or GCA and their carers as they meet the challenge of managing a new lifestyle brought about by these conditions. The charity runs regular meetings for people with PMR and GCA in Gateshead and Middlesbrough so they can socialise and share information and advice.

We work to:

  • raise awareness of PMR and GCA
  • provide a telephone and e-mail enquiry service
  • stage regular meetings where sufferers and their carers can exchange experiences and ideas and invite relevant guest speakers to meetings
  • keep our members up to-date via the publication of a twice yearly newsletters
  • facilitate and contribute to research into PMR and GCA
  • provide  an online forum
