Overview

Happy at Home supports the elderly and lonely in South Tyneside. Their volunteers make regular visits to lonely, isolated people.

They also run our Happy Hubs throughout South Tyneside where people who are lonely can make new friends.


Support available

The service offers:

  • Regular visits from volunteers (having a chat, listening to music, sharing a past time or just reminiscing).
  • Happy Hubs to make new friends
  • They run at least two additional events per year (at Christmas and in the summer) to which volunteers and the people that they visit are invited.
