Increase to seafront parking charges

Seafront parking charges increased on Friday 20 September 2024.

The new parking rate for the first hour is £1.20.

This change affects all seafront on-street parking and car parks in South Tyneside.

Parking scams

We have reports of fraudulent QR codes in our car parks. We do not operate a QR code payment system.

Payments should only be made by coins, card or the pay by phone service.

Pay by phone should by downloaded from your device's app store. Do not download from a link or website.
