Jarrow Focus is the latest addition to the Council's leisure portfolio boasting:

Jarrow Focus is proud to be part of the Leisurewatch scheme. This provides training and support to our staff to help them recognise concerning behaviour and act to stop it, making our public spaces safer for all of us.

Gym at Jarrow Focus

Jarrow Focus gym has four distinct areas; power, stretch, cardio and a family area which includes a cardio wall and interactive equipment, as well as the rig as the centrepiece.

There are also a number of functional items including weighted sand bags, a battle rope, slam balls and kettlebells. 

You must be aged 14 or over to use the gym.

Family area

The Family area is designed for children aged 8 to13 years.

Children must be accompanied in the gym by an adult who is also exercising. The maximum ratio is two children to one adult.

Each child must have a family area induction before using the equipment. You are advised to book this in advance to avoid disappointment.

The family area is available during the gym opening times.

The entry fee is the same as a Junior gym entry.

There is a library within Jarrow Focus.

This is a Council-owned library.

Badminton

Jarrow Focus badminton courts are now available to hire. 

Due to coronavirus restriction you must bring your own equipment (racquets, balls and shuttlecocks etc).

Players must also be from from the same household / support bubble only with singles or doubles permitted.

The easiest way to check availability or to make a booking is by booking online.

You can do this through our STC leisure app or through STC leisure online services.
