Memberships
Overview
There are a number of benefits to signing up for a leisure membership. These include:
- No joining fee
- Access to all six of our leisure facilities
- Fitness class bookings 7 days in advance
- Use of the running track at Monkton Stadium
- Use of our saunas and steam rooms (when you select the swim option)
- Discounts on other activities such as court and pitch hire
You can choose to pay for your membership monthly or for one year in full.
Pay for one year in full
If you choose to pay your membership for one year in full, you will receive a £15 discount. To do this, please pop in to one of our Leisure centres.
If you don't want to commit to a membership
If you don't want to commit to a membership, you can pay individually for classes, gym sessions or swimming. For these prices, please check out the leisure facility that you're interested in - Leisure centres.
Or you can get a 30 day activity pass, or a Get Active discount card:

Get Active discount cards
Our Get Active discount cards give you discounted rates on activities, and are ideal if you do not want to commit to a long-term membership.

Types of memberships
1. Multi activity
Unlimited access to three activities:
- gym
- swim (including sauna and steam room)
- fitness classes
The multi activity membership includes a free car parking permit valid across all of our sites, for full paying adults only (not concession, young person, or corporate memberships).
2. Duo activity
Build your own membership package by choosing any two of your favourite activities.
Choose from:
- gym
- swim (including sauna and steam room)
- fitness classes (view our booking policy)
Joining online
You can join online today if you wish to pay monthly by direct debit.
Before you begin
- Your membership will start from the day you sign up.
- You can choose which date your direct debit payment comes out - either the 1st or 15th of every month. You will be charged a payment to cover the time between when you first join and your first direct debit date. This payment will come out of your bank account at the same time as your first direct debit payment.
- All memberships are for a minimum of 6 months. Your membership will automatically continue after this time unless you cancel it.
Once you've joined
- On your first trip to one of our leisure facilities after you have joined, you will need to collect your membership card and have your ID photograph taken. You will need to bring along your confirmation email and some ID.
- If you are eligible for a discounted rate, please bring proof of your eligibility when you come to collect your membership card.

Concessions
A discounted rate is available for:
- senior citizens (60+)
- full-time students
- registered disabled
- registered carer's (must be in receipt of a Carer's Allowance and care for someone for at least 35 hours a week)
- those on a Government approved training scheme, or
- those in receipt of Universal Credit or Employment and Support Allowance (proof required)
- residents in receipt of a war pension
If you are eligible for a discounted rate, you will need to bring proof (e.g. student card) on your first visit after signing up for a membership.
Cancelling your membership
A minimum contract of 6 months applies. If you wish to discontinue your membership after this time, please let us know with 30 days notification.

Get Active discount cards
Get Active discount cards are valid at all 6 of our leisure centres.
How to get a discount card
Just pop into any of our leisure facilities and ask at reception.
If applicable, please remember to bring with you payment, proof of residency or evidence of concession.
There are two discount cards available:
1. Get Active
Our Get Active discount card gives you discounted rates on activities, and is ideal if you do not want to commit to a long-term membership.
Available for juniors (under 18 years) or adults (18 to 59 years).
2. Get Active Plus
Our Get Active Plus discount card offers further discounts for:
- senior citizens
- full-time students
- registered disabled
- registered carer's (must be in receipt of a Carer's Allowance and care for someone for at least 35 hours a week)
- those on a Government approved training scheme, or
- those in receipt of Universal Credit or Employment and Support Allowance (proof required)
- those in receipt of a War Pension

How much discount you would get with a card
The discount varies depending upon the facility and activity.
For example, an adult gym session at Haven Point for a non-member is £8.40, with a Get Active discount card it is £6.60 and with a Get Active Plus discount card it is £3.40.
